Why Shotcrete?
Shotcrete is not a product, but a placement method for concrete. Pneumatically placed at high velocity, the impact at the receiving surface consolidates the concrete without the need for traditional vibration. This process also creates superior bond strength to most substrates (brick, concrete, rock, earth) than conventional cast-in-place concrete.
The versatility of shotcrete makes it an excellent alternative to traditional cast-in-place concrete. Shotcrete usually only needs one sided forms and sometimes no forms at all, making set up times quicker, thus saving valuable time and money.
With only a one sided form, the face of the wall is exposed and any number of finishes can be applied to the surface. Rock Carve, Slick/Smooth Trowel, Rubber Float and Rod finish are just some of the options we perform regularly.
